Mark Beasley | Enterprise Risk Management Initiative Director | NC State University
Mark Beasley is a Professor of Enterprise Risk Management and the Director of the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative in the Poole College of Management. The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Initiative provides thought leadership about ERM practices and their integration with strategy and corporate governance. As founding director, Dr. Beasley leads the ERM Initiative’s efforts to help pioneer the development of this emergent discipline through outreach to business professionals, with its ongoing ERM Roundtable Series and ERM Executive Education for boards and senior executives; research, advancing knowledge and understanding of ERM issues; and undergraduate and graduate business education for the next generation of business executives (visit the ERM Initiative website at www.erm.ncsu.edu). He frequently works with boards of directors and senior management teams to assist them in strengthening their risk oversight processes.
Katie Taylor | Executive Director | Pan American Development Foundation
Katie Taylor is an international executive deeply devoted to global development and to bringing private sector thinking to complex development challenges. She has extensive experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors, and has led national and multi-million-dollar organizations, living and working across five continents.
Taylor learned management and leadership at General Electric – across healthcare, financial services, transportation and technology industries. She has founded and supported nonprofits and communities throughout her career, devoting the past 10 years to social and public service, most recently as Deputy Assistant Administrator for Global Health at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). At USAID, Taylor led efforts on child and maternal survival and health. She also served as the U.S. government’s representative on the boards of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and as co-chair of the Partnership on Maternal, Newborn, & Child Health (PMNCH).
Chris Migliaccio | Chief Audit Executive and Risk Professional | Society for Human Resource Management
Chris Migliaccio brings more than 20 years of experience in internal auditing and serves as the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) and risk professional at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is responsible for leading and managing the internal audit function, as well as SHRM’s Enterprise Risk Management program. Prior to SHRM, he was the CAE at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and Gallaudet University. He is actively involved with the Institute of Internal Auditing (IIA) and is currently serving as the IIA Northern Virginia Chapter’s President Elect.
