GRF is pleased to sponsor Detention Watch Network’s 25th Anniversary Celebration.

Detention Watch Network was founded in 1997 in response to the explosive growth of the immigration detention and deportation system in the United States. Today, DWN is the only national network focused exclusively on immigration detention issues, working through our members’ collective strength to challenge this system’s injustices and advocate for its abolition.

As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our founding this year, we are excited to bring our community together for an event on September 14, 2022 in Washington, DC. As evidenced by the recent wins the movement has seen, our efforts are working. But we know the struggle to end detention is long and will require ongoing dedication and partnership. This event will be open to all members, allies, and friends of DWN to honor our past 25 years while raising awareness of and funds for our continued fight ahead.
