Mr. Mohebbi is elected to another leadership position with the prominent professional society
Bethesda, MD, June 6, 2024 – GRF CPAs & Advisors (GRF), a full-service professional services firm providing clients with audit, tax, outsourced accounting and advisory solutions, announced today that Audit Manager Omid Mohebbi, CPA has been elected to the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA) Board of Governors for the fiscal year beginning July 1. In addition to the Board of Governors, Mr. Mohebbi was also recently named the incoming chair of GWSCPA’s Nonprofit Section, and he has served as a Co-Chair the organization’s Employee Benefit Plans Conference Planning Committee and Chair of the Nonprofit Finance & Accounting Academy Planning Committee.

Omid Mohebbi, CPA, Manager, GRF CPAs & Advisors
Omid Mohebbi, CPA, is a Manager with GRF CPAs & Advisors (GRF) specializing in audits of nonprofit organizations and employee benefit plans. He frequently serves as a speaker and subject matter expert at industry conferences and events on the nonprofit sector, employee benefit plans, and the latest accounting standards. He holds the AICPA Fundamentals of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Certificate, is an active member of the firm’s ESG Committee, and continues to serve as part of the team developing the firm’s ESG consulting practice. Mr. Mohebbi has been involved in GRF’s DEI initiatives for many years and plays an active role in the firm’s recruitment initiatives, including the firm’s audit internship program. He also serves as a key member of the firm’s Vision Committee, helping GRF define its vision and mission statement.
In addition to his service to GWSCPA, he previously served as Board Treasurer and Chair of the Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Washington, DC. Mr. Mohebbi is a graduate of University College London and studied accounting at Montgomery College, Rockville, Maryland.
