Join us for an informative and interactive workshop designed for nonprofits to help you enhance your process for audit and 990 preparations. Your audit and 990 are powerful tools that can help your organization build credibility and trust, secure funding, protect precious resources and tell your story.

In this session, we will explore essential strategies and best practices to ensure your organization is well prepared for this important annual process. Our experts will share tips on gaining the most from your prep process and maximizing audit efficiency, including navigating common audit and 990 challenges. Bring your questions!

What We’ll Cover:

  1. Update on Audit and 990 Process: Our speakers will provide a comprehensive overview of the nonprofit audit process, including key steps, timelines and the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders.
  2. Review Key Components of the Audit and 990: The presenters will walk through the key areas in audited financial statements and the IRS Form 990, sharing insights on how these documents might be viewed by funders and other readers.
  1. Share Preparation Strategies: Audit and 990 preparations begin long before the actual process. Implementing consistent record-keeping, maintaining up-to-date financials, and regular internal reviews are essential for a smooth audit experience.
