Chesapeake Bay Foundation Presents DC on the Half Shell

GRF is pleased to sponsor and attend DC on the Half Shell presented by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) on March 14, 2022.

The Bay’s biggest night is back, and you’re invited! Join us to celebrate the Chesapeake Bay and present the Conservationist of the Year award to Will Baker at DC on the Half Shell, a biennial gala presented by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) in Washington, D.C. or virtually from anywhere! Not only will we raise a glass to Will’s remarkable career, but we will welcome Hilary Harp Falk, CBF’s president and CEO.

This unique event features local Chesapeake Bay oyster growers and their oysters. Enjoy live music, gourmet cuisine, cocktails, and the company of the region’s top philanthropists, legislative decision makers, and corporate and community leaders. All that’s missing is you!

The last DC on the Half Shell, held in 2020, raised over $600,000 in vital funding for CBF’s work. Funds raised this year will once again support programs including education and restoration efforts, including oyster restoration work in both Maryland and Virginia. Your investment enables us to plant millions of native Bay oysters throughout the Chesapeake Bay, ensuring that our shellfish friends will continue to clean the Bay’s waters—and serve as delicious treats—long into the future.
