In recent years, the US Department of Defense (DoD) as well as other Federal agencies have included in their contract solicitations the opportunity for government contractors to receive 250 to 500 additional evaluation points for having an approved (audited) Estimating System and/or Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR). Lately, the government has accepted these business systems to be reviewed by a 3rd party, Independent Public Accountant (IPA). However, given the short turnaround and specialized nature of such review services by an IPA, contractors often scramble during the 45 to 60 day solicitation window allotted to them for submitting a business system review request.
Join GRF’s government contracting expert, Paul Calabrese, and guest speaker Steve Shamlian, President of Government Contracting Compliance Management LLC for a high-level discussion on the importance of understanding the myriad of compliance requirements necessary to set up a business system. The session will explore 3 major systems (Accounting Administration, Estimating Systems and CPSR) that must be in operation before a review can be performed.
Topics:
• Best practices to prepare your organization for a review by the DoD or a third-party
• Examining the 3 most common business systems
• Why developing and implementing your systems early will set you up for success down the road
