Audit Principal Trevor Williams has joined the Board of Directors of the Center for Nonprofit Advancement. The Center for Nonprofit Advancement is a 34-year-old Washington, DC-based organization that works to strengthen, promote and represent its nonprofit members. As a board member, Mr. Williams will work with other board representatives to provide strategic guidance and direction for the Center.
The Center for Nonprofit Advancement is also a long-time partner of Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman as the administrator of the Excellence in Chief Executive Leadership (EXCEL) award, which recognizes nonprofit leadership excellence in the Washington, DC metropolitan region. The firm has sponsored the EXCEL award program since 2006. Additionally, the firm’s professionals present regularly at the Center’s training programs on topics such as QuickBooks and audit and tax guidance for board members and nonprofit management.
Mr. Williams has nearly 20 years of extensive experience with audit functions, contractual compliance rules, regulations, policies, procedures and accounting operations. He serves on the board of directors of the MD/DC/VA chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America and was accepted last month into Leadership Greater Washington’s Class of 2014.
