May 30, 2012
Richard Locastro, CPA, JD, nonprofit tax principal at Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman CPAs will present at the American Institute of CPAs’ 2012 Not-for-Profit Industry Conference at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. Mr. Locastro’s session, “I Have to Report That, Right?” will highlight IRS reporting requirements for the myriad of transactions that nonprofit organizations engage in every day, which can seem confusing and overwhelming. He will discuss proper payroll, Form 1099 and other reporting requirements for a host of transactions, and answer questions such as:
- Can an employee really get a Form W-2 and a Form 1099?
- Do I have to report or withhold on gambling winnings?
- A donor gave us an airplane – now what do we do?
- We gave our contest winner money to pay for her college costs – that’s a scholarship, isn’t it?
Mr. Locastro will present from 7:00 am to 8:15 am on Friday, June 22.
Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman is also a conference sponsor for the AICPA Not-for-Profit Industry Conference. If you plan to attend, please stop by our exhibit booth and introduce yourself.
