GRF CPAs & Advisors (GRF) is pleased to announce that Omid Mohebbi, CPA, has been elected as the next chair the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA) Nonprofit Section. His term will begin on July 1, 2024.
The Nonprofit Section plays the premiere leadership role to area CPAs in public and private practice addressing not-for-profit client service, education and representation issues impacting the work of CPAs and their not-for-profit clients. The section holds monthly technical sessions from September through July of each year, which features a guest speaker and combines one hour of qualifying continuing professional education (CPE) on a relevant topic to section members and their clients/organizations. Omid Mohebbi, CPA is a manager in the GRF’s audit department specializing in audits of nonprofit organizations, including foundations, associations and other charitable institutions, as well as audits of employee benefit plans. Mr. Mohebbi is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events on the nonprofit sector, employee benefit plans, and the latest accounting standards. He currently serves as Chair of the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA) Nonprofit Finance & Accounting Academy Committee and Co-Chair of the GWSCPA Employee Benefit Plan Conference Committee.
