Ms. McKnight will serve another 4-year term supporting the acclaimed Virginia educational institution.
Bethesda, MD, July 16, 2020 – GRF CPAs & Advisors (GRF) Partner and Director of Audit, Terri McKnight, CPA was reappointed by Governor Ralph Northam of the Commonwealth of Virginia to the Board of Visitors (BOV) at Christopher Newport University (CNU) for another four-year term. Ms. McKnight said, “I am grateful to be given this opportunity by Governor Northam to serve an additional 4 years on the Board of Visitors of Christopher Newport University. I look forward to serving with President Trible and distinguished colleagues form the Commonwealth as the University continues its commitment to learning, leadership and community service fostered by the principles of liberal learning.”
Ms. McKnight served in the position of Secretary during the last two years of her current term. Recently, the BOV voted not to increase tuition and fees or room and board for the upcoming academic year 2020-2021 in an effort to support students and their families during the current period of economic uncertainty.
In addition to the BOV, Ms. McKnight continues in her role as Vice President of the CNU Education Foundation Board and serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and Chair of the Investment Committee that oversees the University’s endowment. Under the Foundation, she spearheaded the creation of the annual GRF CPAs & Advisors Accounting Student Scholarship. The endowed scholarship will live in perpetuity to help a student in need study the field of accounting.
