Biography

Since starting her career in public accounting in 2008, Alejandra Jensen has specialized in audit and consulting to the nonprofit sector. She has built a strong reputation for serving as a key advisor to nonprofit organizations. Ms. Jensen provides accounting and auditing services to an extensive number of nonprofit clients including foundations, trade and membership associations, private voluntary organizations, and charitable institutions.

As an audit partner, Ms. Jensen manages all aspects of client engagements and relationships. Her nonprofit audit experience includes proficiency in technical accounting issues, the requirements of Uniform Guidance, and employee benefit plan audits. She presents regularly to clients and at industry conferences sharing her expertise on technical topics such as preparing for and implementing new accounting pronouncements.

As a technology-savvy practitioner, Ms. Jensen helped GRF’s audit team implement AuditMiner to increase efficiency in employee benefit plan audit engagements and she serves as a champion for the implementation of artificial intelligence on audit engagements. She was instrumental in helping the firm adopt new accounting software platforms including PPC Smart, AdvanceFlow, Suralink, and MindBridge.

In 2022, Ms. Jensen was a finalist for the Maryland Association of CPAs Women to Watch in the emerging leader category. Internally, Ms. Jensen is a founding committee member of GRF’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative.
