Mr. Ali has more than 20 years of experience in leading technology infrastructure, providing supervision, creating policies and procedures, enhancing cybersecurity, network architecture, deployment and upgrading of company computer network systems including hardware, software, applications, cloud-based systems, servers and mobile devices. He joined GRF CPAs & Advisors in 2012 as senior network administrator before assuming managerial responsibilities. In his current position as Chief Technology Officer, he is responsible for oversight of the firm’s technology, network health, from servers to individual personal computers, installing network upgrades, managing technicians and engineers, coordinating helpdesk system, managing IT clients and maintaining vendor relationships. As a certified IT professional, he performs both on and off-site testing and set-up as well as monitoring existing technology to determine future network needs.
Before coming to GRF, Mr. Ali worked as support systems analyst and network administrator at K. Hovnanian Homes. Mr. Ali, an information technology instructor, has presented seminars on various IT audit issues of concern to the nonprofit community. He is proficient at assessing and resolving technical and staff needs and provides the comprehensive IT support services necessary to maintain a functional and professional work environment.
Mr. Ali is a founding committee member of GRF’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative formalized in 2019. He is also a member of the firm’s internal Technology Committee. In 2022, Mr. Ali was recognized by OnConferences as one of their Top 50 Technology Professionals in the prestigious OnCon Icon Awards.
