Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman CPAs and Aldebaron, Inc. (SYMPAQ) hosted a 5-part, complimentary webinar series designed to help government contractors win and maintain government contracts. Experts in federal government requirements and compliance help participants overcome common business challenges and develop a competitive advantage.
Part 1 – Developing DCAA-Compliant Indirect Rates
Government contracting compliance experts provide an overview of how indirect cost rates are developed and used in contracting with the US Government. Participants learn both theory as well as practical indirect rate models to help them visualize the format and structure of indirect rates and how the indirect rates are computed to include internal cost allocations. Government contractor personnel have an improved working knowledge of indirect rates and allocations for bidding and incurring indirect cost.
Part 2 – Projecting Indirect Rates for Proposals and Forward Pricing
Building on the first webinar, Part 2 helps participants forecast indirect rates acceptable to DCAA. The webinar provides practical examples for projecting indirect rates. Come away with the tools needed to forecast indirect rates for proposals and forward pricing.
Part 3 – Developing Annual Indirect Rates Using the DCAA ICE Schedule
Government contractors often find it challenging to develop their annual incurred cost submission in DCAA’s required 30-tab Incurred Cost Electronically (ICE) EXCEL workbook. This webinar provides a detailed look at the ICE template and learn how to navigate this complex requirement.
Part 4 – Understanding the Impact of FAR Part 31.2 Cost Principals on Indirect Rates
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 31.2 provides principles about which costs are allowable, reasonable and allocable. With over 50 cost principles applicable to contracts with the US government, our government contracting experts examine the most important and commonly used cost principles that impact indirect cost recovery.
Part 5 – Understanding the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
The final webinar in the series helps participants better understand the applicability of CAS including the Cost Accounting Standard Board’s (CASB) 19 standards, CAS thresholds and disclosure statements.
